We guarantee specialized subjects in the study programs of Urban Engineering and Environmentally Advanced Buildings. We provide education in CAD and BIM applications and offer courses focused on the algorithmization of engineering tasks and programming.
The staff of the institute are researchers and co-researchers of both national and international research projects. The institute collaborates on applied research and experimental development projects with the Czech Technology Agency and the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
We organize lifelong learning courses for the construction practice, professional public, and public administration.
Current Specialized Topics of the Institute
Construction 4.0 – applications of digitization and automation.
Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Facility Management.
Utilization of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) in architecture.
Modeling of road traffic.
Modeling of people movement in buildings and public spaces.
Data processing and analysis in construction.
Educational activities are connected to the needs of study fields: the institute provides basic courses in CAD systems and information technology in general. In the follow-up master’s study programs, the education gradually expands towards database technologies, building information modeling (BIM), facility management, numerical modeling of building structures and their internal environment, evacuation models, and fire spread, as well as 3D printing of construction materials.
